Fourteen and a Marijuana Addict

Well I started smoking in the sixth grade. I never thought it would get so bad so I kept smoking and eventually I became an addict. I didn't care what people thought of me.

If you called me a pot head I took it as a compliment. My friends even told me I was smoking too much but I never listened. But one day when I was in eighth grade - a group of three kids at my school got caught smoking and I didn't think anything of it.

I knew these kids - I used to smoke with them. I never in a million years thought somebody would rat me out but they did. I don't know who it was but I had to quit smoking.

I got in trouble with the school - I got SAC and sent to the Cesar Chavez academy. I didn't learn my lesson. I couldn't quit, I was a hardcore addict. I couldn't sleep without it, I couldn't eat without it, I was so bored without it.

I didn't know what to do then one day I got a boyfriend and I wanted to forget because I was in love. I realized the whole reason I started was because my mother had a boyfriend that I hated so much I wanted to kill him.

I didn't know what to do so that's why I started smoking pot and well I am still having trouble quitting but I am getting over it. I went from smoking everyday to smoking when I can't sleep or eat to smoking on the weekends.

I am a fourteen year old girl and I am still trying to quit marijuana - my boyfriend is helping me and so far so good so teenagers I believe you can do anything you set your mind to because I believe I can do it and so can you!
