From a One Time Hard-Core Drug Addict. Three Years Clean Today!

Reached my three year milestone today. Looking back these years, I never would’ve thought that I’d ever come this far. Alcohol and drugs used to consume my life, literally just about my every waking thought was devoted to my next fix … so when I initially began receiving treatment for my addictions, I never imagined I’d ever be able to last even a day without getting high or drunk.

So my message is that if I’ve managed to get this far, you can too, no matter how bad things are for you right now. I recommend you get professional help, put your ego in your pocket and be open to doing what they tell you, find a recovery plan that works for you (I swing between AA & NA), and just take it one day at a time. Too many addicts try and be clever and pretend like they know it all. Stick to the K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) principle and learn to be humble. Do these things and the sky is literally the limit. Trust me, I’m living proof of that. If you really want it, you can do it.
